Terms of Service
Effective July 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Droppin (“Droppin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), which operates the Droppin websites, apps, and services (together, the “Platform”) from Sisters, Oregon 97759. By creating an account, buying a ticket, requesting access to an event, signing a waiver, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. What Droppin is (and is not)
Droppin is a technology platform that lets independent event promoters (“Organizers”) create event pages, sell tickets, gate location reveals, vet guests, collect waivers, and check attendees in at the door. Droppin does not own, produce, host, or control the events listed on the Platform. The Organizer of each event is solely responsible for that event, including its lineup, venue, safety, legality, permits, licensing, conduct, and for honoring the tickets it sells. We are not a party to the agreement between you and an Organizer, and we are not the venue, promoter, or producer of any event.
2. Definitions
- Attendee: a person who buys a ticket, requests access, or attends an event.
- Organizer: the promoter or business that lists and runs an event on the Platform.
- Content: anything submitted through the Platform, including event details, waiver signatures, and application information.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase tickets. Individual events may set higher age requirements (for example, 21+); you are responsible for meeting the requirements of any event you attend and may be denied entry without refund if you do not. By using the Platform you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.
4. Accounts & security
Some features require an account, which is authenticated through our identity provider. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us at support@getdroppin.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
5. Tickets
A ticket is a limited, revocable license to attend a specific event, subject to the Organizer’s rules and these Terms. Unless the Organizer expressly permits it, tickets are for personal use, are non-transferable, and may not be resold above face value. We may issue tickets as codes and QR codes; each is valid for a single entry. Lost, stolen, duplicated, or unlawfully resold tickets may be voided. Some events are approval-only: tickets are available only after you request access and are approved, and the exact location may be withheld until shortly before the event and shared only with approved guests.
6. Prices, payments, fees & taxes
Organizers set ticket prices. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe); we do not store your full card number. Droppin charges a platform service fee, which may be reflected in the price or shown at checkout, and the payment processor charges its own fees. Charges are in U.S. dollars. Organizers are responsible for any sales, entertainment, or other taxes applicable to their events. By completing a purchase you authorize the total shown at checkout to be charged to your payment method.
7. Refunds & cancellations
Refund eligibility is described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. In general, sales are final except where an Organizer offers a refund or where an event is cancelled, in which case eligible ticket amounts are refunded to the original payment method. If an event is cancelled through the Platform, we facilitate refunds of the ticket price on the Organizer’s behalf.
8. Identity vetting
Certain events require guest vetting before you can buy a ticket or receive the location. Where vetting is enabled, you may be asked to provide information or complete an identity check through a third-party verification provider. Providing that information is voluntary, but you may not be able to attend the event without it. How this information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Text messages
If you provide a mobile number, you may receive transactional and event-related text messages (such as location reveals and updates). Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Our messaging practices are described in our SMS / Text Messaging Terms.
10. Events, safety & assumption of risk
Attending live events carries inherent risks. You agree to follow all Organizer, venue, and staff instructions and all applicable laws while at an event. You may be required to sign a waiver as a condition of entry. You attend events at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Droppin is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage arising from your attendance at, or conduct at, any event, which is the responsibility of the Organizer and, where applicable, the venue. Do not attend if you are unwell or impaired, and never engage in unlawful conduct at an event.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate an unlawful event;
- resell tickets in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or use bots to buy tickets;
- circumvent vetting, access controls, or location gating, or share private event locations publicly;
- send unlawful, harassing, or unsolicited messages through Platform features;
- probe, scrape, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its data; or
- infringe anyone’s rights or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
12. Your content
You retain ownership of Content you submit, and you grant Droppin and the relevant Organizer a limited license to use it as needed to operate the Platform and run the event (for example, to record a waiver signature or process an access request). You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit.
13. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its software, design, and the Droppin name and logo, is owned by Droppin and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Platform for its intended purpose. Event names, artwork, and marks belong to their respective Organizers or owners.
14. Third-party services
The Platform relies on third-party services (including payment processing, messaging, identity verification, authentication, and hosting). Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.
15. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Droppin DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AS DESCRIBED, THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DROPPIN AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE PLATFORM OR ANY EVENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT OF PLATFORM SERVICE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Droppin from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your attendance at or conduct at an event, your Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
18. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at legal@getdroppin.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute that is not resolved will be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Deschutes County, Oregon, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
20. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Platform, Organizers, or Attendees. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
21. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the policies referenced here, are the entire agreement between you and Droppin regarding the Platform. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
